Mr. Light practices in the areas of patent, licensing, and contracts. He represents clients in all aspects of patent procurement from initial disclosure to issuance of patent, and provides guidance regarding intellectual property protection and licensing.  Mr. Light furnishes litigation support to clients in federal, state and administrative law courts in all of these areas.  Mr. Light also routinely works with Patent Examiners to resolve issues affecting approval of applications. 

Mr. Light has extensive experience in drafting and negotiating intellectual property contracts and related patent prosecution.  Active in product development, management marketing, and sales efforts.  Proven track record in negotiating complex transactions.  Ability to comprehend and explain technical issues to non-technical audiences.  Comfortable in multi-discipline, culturally diverse environments.  Energetic, self-motivated approach to achieving business objectives.

Mr. Light possesses a unique blend of business, legal, and technical experience as a result of varied positions held in the corporate arena.  He assisted product, sales, and engineering in development of business models and requirements documents for electronic payment services and products for Internet commerce.  Managed patent program, development of software licenses and service agreements for electronic payment products, and negotiated licenses and service agreements with credit card processors, financial institutions, and merchants.  Drafted and negotiated commercial agreements for satellite transponder services.  Developed protection scheme model for diverse fleet of satellites, and advised clients on environmental matters.
