Mr. Johnson is an associate at The Marbury Law Group practicing in all aspects of patent prosecution. Mr. Johnson represents clients before the U.S Patent and Trademark Office where he prosecutes patents in a variety of technical fields with a focus in communication systems, computer engineering, and electrical devices.
Prior to joining The Marbury Law Group, Mr. Johnson was a patent examiner at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. There, he examined patent applications related to electronic gaming and electronic sports training devices. In his time as an examiner, he gained experience in software design, sensor integration, electrical and mechanical controls, computer hardware design, and motion tracking and capture technology.
Prior to beginning his legal career, Mr. Johnson served for eight years as a supply officer in the U.S. Navy. He held a secret clearance, served as a Contracting Officer’s Representative, created performance work statements, directed purchasing and inventory operations, managed his units’ budgets, and directed all aspects of his units’ logistics operations. Mr. Johnson served with both aviation and surface combatant units in Everett, Washington, Sasebo, Japan, and Andrews Air Force Base, Maryland, earning his Surface Warfare Supply Corps Officer qualification.
Mr. Johnson was a member of George Mason University School of Law's Moot Court Board, and served as a Writing Fellow, teaching legal writing to first-year students.
