On September 19-20, Marbury Senior Partner Tom Irving and Partner Michelle O’Brien will join American Intellectual Property Law Association (AIPLA)’s Chemical Practice and Biotechnology Committees to present a two-day AIPLA CLE Web Series: “Hot Topics in Chemical and Pharmaceutical Patent Practice.” Tom will moderate an expert panel on day 1 where the duty of candor, genus/species claiming, and § 101 in chem/pharma cases will be discussed. On day 2, Michelle will join the panel to discuss legal issues in pharmaceutical labeling and REMS claims, and her co-panelists will discuss Amgen v. Sanofi, means-plus-function claiming, and obviousness-type double patenting.
